Technology and Makerspaces

At École Holy Cross, we believe technology has the power to change the way students learn. It opens doors to creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking, preparing students for success in a digital world.

Empowering Students with Digital Tools

Students are provided with a variety of technology to enhance learning, foster creativity, and develop essential 21st-century skills. From robotics to digital design, our school integrates technology into daily learning in meaningful ways.

Chromebooks for Shared Learning

Our Chromebooks are managed as shared devices, borrowed from classroom carts for lessons as needed. Students are assigned a Chromebook number and are responsible for its care and proper use. This system ensures that all students have access to up-to-date technology, even as older devices reach the end of their service life.

Robotics, Coding, and Innovation

Students explore robotics and coding using Micro:bits, allowing them to design, program, and create projects that connect to learning outcomes across subjects.

Creative Tools for Every Learner

iPads: For classroom activities and projects such as Stop Motion animation videos.

Photography & Video Equipment: Green Screen, DSLR and mirrorless cameras, and 360 cameras for media projects.

Apple TV: Available in every classroom to enhance instruction and resource sharing.

3D printer, 3-in-1 laser cutter and miller: Design solutions and create objects using Computer Assisted Design (CAD) programs like Tinkercad.

Silkscreening and vinyl cutting equipment: For Junior High Art and CTF Programs to design and produce unique, one-of-a-kind products.

Flexible Learning Spaces

Our Learning Commons and Maker Space serve as versatile hubs for projects, presentations, and collaborative learning, giving students a space to explore, create, and showcase their work.
